I think ramai dah tau pasal ni but in my case ada jugak yang bertekak coz talkum ni dah di guna pakai since dolu2 but for them their baby is fine. Again, for me prevention is better than cure right. Same goes to ppl yang smoking, tak semua yang kena cancer but kalau boleh elak buat apa nak take the risk. So better we take note what make talcum hazard to our babies. 
First, check label kat talkum baby dulu. Kalau kat ingredient tu ada TALC then this is what we talking about lah. But, i notice ada yang pakai talc zea mays (corn), aku rasa yang tu boleh sebab yang membuatkan jadi hazard ialah sebab talc.


Ok, what is talc?
Talc is a mineral, produced by the mining of talc rocks and then processed by crushing, drying and milling. Processing eliminates a number of trace minerals from the talc, but does not separate minute fibers which are very similar to asbestos.


What kind of exposure is dangerous?
-Talc is toxic. Talc particles cause tumors in human ovaries and lungs. Numerous studies have shown a strong link between frequent use of talc in the female genital area and ovarian cancer. 
-Since the early 1980's, records prove that several infants die each year due to accidental baby powder inhalation. Talc is a household hazard. 


Guidelines
- Check and read the label. The product MUST be talc-free.
- Check the date on the container and make sure that the product is fresh. Powder that is stored too long can breed bacteria and contaminate your or your baby's skin.
- Don't apply baby powder directly from the container. Pour it first on your palm and gently pat it unto baby's bottom. Keep powder away from baby's face.
- Likewise, be gentle in applying body powder to yourself. Never dust it on your face and neck directly, to avoid inhaling it, as this can lead to throat irritation.
- Don't use body powder on both your and your baby girl's genital area, as well as to areas surrounding it.
- Avoid putting powder on baby's skin creases, as the powder cakes can build up and encourage bacteria growth and can cause fungal infection.
- If you have sensitive skin, an unscented body powder will be best for you.
- During diaper change, never let your baby play with the powder; it can accidentally spill on his face, causing him to choke, or that he will inhale too much powder and lead to serious lung complication.

Preloved baby items

What all of u think about buying your baby preloved baby item? Senang citer, korang okay ke beli barangan terpakai utk baby korang? Almost everything ada..dari sebesar-besar stroller sampai lah ke kasut / toys. Aku pun selalu browse page yang jual preloved nih. Aku rasa memang ada few issue kalau beli preloved but depends on individual lah kan. Ada yang seboleh2 tak mau preloved utk anak, nak yang baru jer. Ada yang risau pasal hygiene or pandangan org lain maybe! Ada yang tak kisah, sebab baby cepat besar. Kalau baju tu, 2-3 bulan jer bleh pakai. Why not go for preloved kalau good bargain kan.

Kalau aku??

- Aku beli preloved tgk barang kot. Kalau car seat, stroller, carrier aku beli. Kalau cloth diaper aku tak beli.

- As a muslim, aku tgk penjual. Sebab kalau non muslim byk benda nak consider sebelum beli dr diorg.

- Tgk perbezaan harga preloved and brand new. Kalau beza tak byk sgt...aku still go for unused.

Sblm beli preloved, hafal dulu abbv ni okay..

She's my baby too

Initially, hubby memang quite sceptical about babywearing idea, and below was how i convince him:

Conversation about: Young couple in front of us
Me: H, u think y the gurl hold bf hand?
H: Maybe takut bf dia lari kot
Me: Nope! when u hold hand, u feel safer and there's sense of belonging..u know..And the same goes to Alesya, i believe she will be happier if i babywear her rather than sitting all alone in the stroller. Furthermore stroller ni, tak leh adjust so that Alesya can't face us. When she near to us oso..we can talk to her..better right?
H: I get ur idea..

Lebih kurang camtu lah conversation yang berlaku and hubby aku dah pun terima the idea of babywearing tapi masalah pulak bila dia dok sibuk berebut nak carry alesya jugak. Of course not with Ring Sling tapi my hubby use sweet cheery crotch carrier. His friend present during Alesya shower party ari tu. I explained why we should not use the carrier but then he insist to carry Alesya as well sebab he want to talk and be near to her daughter jugak. degil tul hubby nih!

Dah malas nak bertekak aku diamkan aja walaupun i'm not happy. I realised that hubby will always carry Alesya pakai carrier tu so i decided to buy Soft Structured Carrier (SSC) for him. Last weekend dah nak g try kat tiny tapir tapi Alesya tido. But i will go and try few brand to compare and get brief idea of SSC. And i officially annouce that my hunt for SSC start now....
