Oh my...lama tak update
macammana nak update broadband buat hal lak...
i can't even login to my blog
after few complain to celc** then today here i am...
dah bleh ber blog....yea....
Oh...few things yang i nak share but dah terlepas due to this prob..

1) International Babywearing Week (IBW) 2010 (6-12 Oct 2010)
Like all of you jugak, i also missed the fun for IBW 2010 walk. This year all BW moms and dads berkumpul di KLCC (on 9 Oct hari tu) to create BW awareness to people. Diorg BW their lil one and jalan2...I tak join coz hubby keje. Huhu...
The good news is, ada lagi IBW fun which not yet over. Ada contest and blog giveaway for those yang nak join. korang checklah sendiri di http://malaysianbabywearers.blogspot.com/ yer.

2) My first payment cheque
Oh yes, i got RM60.60 but it not from nuffnang though. Mesti korang dah agak dr mana kan. Hm...even amount ciput jer but i hope it just a starting point for bigger amount in future.

3) Alesya's progress
My little daughter dah pandai merangkak, duduk and berdiri tapi still kena bergantung ngan sofa..almari...hmm..apa benda yang dia nampak lah.
Dah pandai sepahkan bakul pakaian dier. huhuhu
Dah ada own preference...ada time nak daddy jer...ada time nak mummy...kalau sayur jer tak suka makan...kalau porridge tu masuk sayur + ikan bilis..tambah lah selera tu

4) Babywearing gear
Aku dah menambahkan koleksi BW gear aku. hehehe....nanti aku share and review ok

5) Cloth diaper
Alamak...cloth diaper buat hal. Kejap jer dah penuh. Sib baik ada booster...

When Babywearing Does It's Magic

When i bought an SSC, hubby is far from supporting but gave his sceptical lecture.

That was during last Ramadhan. Aku memang ler hangin coz the actual reason for me to get an SSC is for my hubby gak. Yer lah, aku BW Alesya hubby pun nak BW tapi pakai crotch carrier.  Kalau ikutkan for time being aku still comfortable with my Ring sling.

 Ok, time to give first try. Sib baik hubby layan jer aku bg dia pakai SSC and letakkan si Alesya. First impression..."SSC way more comfortable than his crotch carrier." Aku fikir ok lah...ada positif feedback.

Then, to his surprise...Alesya fall asleep after 15 mins in. Time for me to do Jaiho dance..hahaha

Above is not the sole reason i'm into babywearing. I love BW sebab

1) Handsfree

- I have cloth to support my baby i'm handsfree. Boleh hold my hubby hand time jln2...tak gitew???

2) Multitasking

-Of course, bila dah handsfree...i can do any other task while babywearing...So far it help me alot when both of us g shopping. I mean only me and Alesya. Bila hubby keje...Nak transfer groceries masuk kete etc. Help me alot actually. Boleh bawak umbrella kalau panas. Breastfeed during BW pun boleh...

3) Help Alesya to sleep

-Lately Alesya lagi mudah tdo bila i cradle carry her in RS. Mungkin dia rasa mcm dlm buaian kot. Actually we all tak practice dia tdo dlm buai...kalau buai2 pakai tgn dah tak nak dia skang nih.

4) Travelling light

- We bring stroller sometimes, tapi kalau tak bawak pun tak per. Ikut situasi lah. Besides, tak yah lagi nak carik2 lif....leh naik eskalator jer. Lagi satu, kalau lif penuh pun boleh masuk...tak perlukan big space for stroller dah

5) She always near to me

-This what i love most of all BW beauty. She always near to my heart! Boleh sembang2..main clap2... :-)

 Apa lagi yer reason aku BW? Sebab carrier yang cantik2 kot...hehehe

Review on Jumpsac Ringsling (black roses on jet black)

Dah pakai Ringsling (RS) nih for about 1 month so time for a review..

- aku tak suka sgt warna hitam nih kalau boleh aku nak ler warna cerah tp disebabkan aku rush to get RS and mummy yang jual ni stay nearby so aku belasah ler. Aku get this RS for RM130.00 (retail@RM170.00). 

- However, for me RS nih memang very newbie friendly. Made from linen, fabric nih memang sturdy. Another thing, linen make it easy for us utk threading. Siyes, memang senang nak handle compare to cotton. So, aku sarankan kalau RS virgin, go for linen k. 

- Then, eventho after 1 hour pun baby tak kebawah and tak yah nak adjust2 utk ketatkan or bawak baby ke atas semula. 

- Ada small pocket kat bwh...bolehlah letak brg2 kecik yg tak berat cam saputgn / handphone / pacifier / parking ticket atau apa jerlah yang korang nak letak

kalau nak beli g webdiorg k..ada byk kaler best2...aku nak try silk plak kalau ada budget :-)

Hadiah hari bapa 2010

Apa patut Alesya bagi daddy dia ek utk father's day nih? Apa plak aku patut bagi ayah aku? Should we:
1) Bagi kad
-Daddy Alesya jenis yang baca kad, say thank and the card will remain in the same place forever. Impossible for him to bring to office or keep at his computer table. Look like he not appreciate eventho i think he do. So no card i guess unless he know how to make me feel appreciated.
2) Belanja mkn kat tempat kegemaran
-TGI, chilli's, Tony Roma's sound great as we love western food
3) Beli brg yang diorg perlukan
-wallet? pants? t-shirt?
4)Beli cute gift
-cute frame for family photo, key chain, mug
5)Handmade item
-kalau rajin sgt bleh kait mengait (sempat ke) atau apa-apa ikut kekreatifan and to have personal touch to the gift
6)voucher
-yer lah bleh bg voucher utk tempat2 yg kalau disuggest diorg taknak g cam hair treatment ke, spa etc
7)spend at home
-masak + beli kek then makan together2
8)tgk wayang
-maybe not lah sebab alesya kecik lagi

byknya cadangan..tapi aku rasa akan spend kat umah jer kot...hahhaha..sebab aku tgh mengumpul setiap sen utk membeli..

She's my baby too

Initially, hubby memang quite sceptical about babywearing idea, and below was how i convince him:

Place: Sunway pyramid
Conversation about: Young couple in front of us
Me: H, u think y the gurl hold bf hand?
H: Maybe takut bf dia lari kot
Me: Nope! when u hold hand, u feel safer and there's sense of belonging..u know..And the same goes to Alesya, i believe she will be happier if i babywear her rather than sitting all alone in the stroller. Furthermore stroller ni, tak leh adjust so that Alesya can't face us. When she near to us oso..we can talk to her..better right?
H: I get ur idea..

Lebih kurang camtu lah conversation yang berlaku and hubby aku dah pun terima the idea of babywearing tapi masalah pulak bila dia dok sibuk berebut nak carry alesya jugak. Of course not with Ring Sling tapi my hubby use sweet cheery crotch carrier. His friend present during Alesya shower party ari tu. I explained why we should not use the carrier but then he insist to carry Alesya as well sebab he want to talk and be near to her daughter jugak. degil tul hubby nih!

Dah malas nak bertekak aku diamkan aja walaupun i'm not happy. I realised that hubby will always carry Alesya pakai carrier tu so i decided to buy Soft Structured Carrier (SSC) for him. Last weekend dah nak g try kat tiny tapir tapi Alesya tido. But i will go and try few brand to compare and get brief idea of SSC. And i officially annouce that my hunt for SSC start now....

First single step: Babywearing Alesya

Journey of a thousand miles started and the first single step taken. Aku dah berjaya babywear Alesya..
Actually it quite some time jugak utk aku decide nak beli carrier apa utk babywear Alesya. (Since RS murah yang aku beli di babyjaya tu langsung tak besh!) At first, aku ingat nak beli wrap. Because that day aku main2 wrap Alesya ngan kain biasa dia ok. So i came across 1 mummy yang nak let go bamboo wrap. Dah berkira2 nak pecahkan tabung then fikir balik rasa tak confident. Apa lagi nak wrap in public. Bukan aku cekap lagi. Hai...tak dpt byg camna aku nak buat tu...maybe kalau Alesya besar skit ok kot. So cancel wrap.
Then, came across jumpsac luxury linen  wrap nih.

Ada mummy yang nak jual and i think price worth it. Since dat day yang aku decide nak beli tu ari rabu, aku rasa cam tak sempat nak sampai on khamis kalau pos pun since jumaat kan cuti wesak. Aku nak pakai on that weekend actually...so browse lagik...

The best part, mummy nih just stay nearby my house. About 3 mins ride. So, terus ler aku TT duit and g ambik RS nih yang dah sah jadi milik aku. Hehheh....

OK, That the only first chapter, bab membeli. Skang nih nak pakai lah. Berpeluh2 lah jugak aku baca instruction, tgk youtube until confident nak wear Alesya. But, alhamdulillah Alesya very2 supportive. Aku pun syok lah membbwearkan dia. Cuma, majority mummy ckp anak tertido bila bbwear..Alesya so far asyik tgk keliling jer...tak penah tertdo dlm carrier...maybe tak biasa lagi kot....

Ok, so...first step dah lepas...next step??? Mencari next carrier...hehahahha...yes, i am. Tgh survey for SSC!

uihhh..tak habih lagi entry psai baby wearing kemarin...baru aku dok kaji psai ring sling (RS) and wrap. Dok kaji budget n cara pakai sebenarnya. Baru bleh decide. BTW, besides RS & wrap ada lagi

3) Mei Tai

MT nih di ambil dr asia carrier lah. Chinese style. Ada kan selalu tgk gambar cina dolu2 yang mak carry anak mcm nih. Tapi yang nih fabric cantik lah. Ada butik yang custom made. Cuma mahal skit. Sesuwai utk bb besar skit (yang dah stable with head control) so aku tak plan nak beli lagi. Lagipun aku tak suka sgt carry anak kat belakang aku.

4) Pouch
Pouch nih tak dak dlm plan aku gak. Sebab pouch ni ada saiz. Ikut saiz org nak carry bb tu. Means saiz aku, aku dan org seangkatan aku ja lah leh carry alesya. Laki aku saiz lain sebab tinggi skit tak leh lah nak pakai pouch ni. Rugi ler camtu. Ari tu ada nampak kat mothercare RM90.00 kot. Tapi sweet jer carry pakai pouch nih. Or maybe mak n baby kat bwh ni yg sweet kot..heheh

5) Soft Structured Carrier (SSC)

Ni sesuwai utk daddy jer. Tak berapa nak feminin sgt. Tapi jgn salah anggap SSC ni sama ngan crotch carrier lak. Crotch carrier ni yang dok jual di departmental store tu. Ni bukan baby wearing and not spinal friendly oso even ada yang mencapai harga beratus2. SSC nih tak menyebabkan kaki bayi tergantung dan menyebabkan berat berpusat ke bawah n menekan spinal. SSC baby cam duduk dlm tu n bum-bum akan rendah dr lutut. so berat g ke bum2 mcm duduk biasa...

Huih letih den menaip nih. Byk lagi sebenarnya...korang leh g web MBW utk lagi byk info. Sumer otai2 ada sana. Aku pun baru terkedek2...takpa...slow n steady win the race. :-)

Sling me mummy

Ha..ni lah kegemaran terbaru aku....aku skang dah gila breastpump, cloth diapers and latest is sling.
Ramai yang tak tau sangat lagi menda alah sling (gendong bayi??..alangkah tak glemernya) nih...jom share2...
Sling nih kain yang kita guna utk carry baby tu ler..pemakaian kain nih kita panggil baby wearing. Sling nih ada macam-macam jenis..Dan kebaikan pakai sling nih adalah seperti petikan dari buku "The Baby Book" by William and Martha Sears):
1) It's convenient. You can breastfeed discretely in a sling while working, getting things done around the house, shopping or eating in a restaurant. If you have a baby who wants to be held all the time, this is an easy way to meet her needs while doing other things.
It helps moms care for older siblings. Carrying your baby in a sling can give you the mobility to care for your older children.
2) It helps some babies to breastfeed better. Some babies, particularly those who are tense or tend to arch their backs, breastfeed better while moving. Also, babies who are slow to gain weight (for no apparent reason) have been known to gain better if carried in a sling for several hours a day, since proximity to mom encourages babies to eat more frequently.
3) It reduces crying and colic. A 1986 study of 99 mother-infant pairs (reported in Pediatrics) showed that carrying babies at least three hours a day reduces crying and fussing 43% during the day and 51% at night. Babies are happier because they have less need to cry, and parents enjoy their babies more as a result.
4) It enhances learning. Carried babies have enhanced visual and auditory alertness, and increased "quiet alertness" times. Carrying a baby promotes cognitive development and speech development, since babies are exposed to more experiences and conversations.
Carried babies are involved in their parents' world. They participate in life, rather than see it as a spectator.
Carrying your baby promotes bonding and enhances parents' feelings of competence. A higher frequency of feeding and touching stimulates mothering hormones, and frequent carrying encourages and speeds the development of a mutual reading of each other's cues.

Okeh, berbalik pada jenis2 sling nih
1) Ring sling

-ni ler yang aku minat nak beli nih (harga between 69.00 sampai beratus ler). Harga dia berbagai2..tgk jenis kain. Ada nylon, cotton, silk etc...tgk budget ler..suri umah cam aku nih nak kain bagus tapi murah so sebab tu tak beli lagik..still search the best deal

2) Wrap
-wrap nih, ko bleh g beli kain 4.5m ke camtu pastu tgk video wrap sendirik..kena ada skill baru leh wrap nih. Aku minat gaks yang nih...*sumer lah ko minat liza oii* tapi tgk memikirkannya...nak beli kain pun nak tgk jenis...ramai yang beli kat oversea kain2 nih..
